Ask a Question

Meet Your  Dance Instrutor

Dance entered my life long before I ever stepped into a studio. I was raised by my grandmother, a flamenco dancer from the south of Spain, who taught me early on that dance is not just about steps, but about presence, expression, and connection.

My training spans many styles of dance and includes international study. . I’m also classically trained as a pianist, which helps me teach rhythm, timing, and movement in a musical, intuitive way. This broad foundation allows me to teach with flexibility and intuition, adapting each lesson to the individual while maintaining clarity, quality, and ease in movement.

Alongside my dance background, I bring a strong foundation in health and movement science. As a former pharmacist, gym co-owner, and certified personal trainer with additional training in corrective exercise and group fitness, I approach dance with an understanding of how bodies move and learn best.

I specialize in private lessons for individuals and couples, including ballroom, social dance and wedding choreography. So whether you are preparing for a special event, taking your dance to the next level, or developing a new hobby, lessons are supportive, personalized, and engaging — with an emphasis on confidence, connection, and adding joy to your life.

What Our Clients Say

Coppelia was the most gracious and patient instructor

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“Coppelia was the most gracious and patient instructor. Not only was the time spent with my son in preparing for our mother/son dance at his wedding cherished, Coppelia prepared us to be confident and to “use the entire floor”. Highly recommend!!”

—Marti B.

We can’t wait for our next lesson!

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“Just went to our first class! Coppelia is so warm and inviting. Dancing can be nerve wracking and vulnerable but she breaks things down and is very encouraging!”

—Genevieve S.

Very worth the money!

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

“Coppelia is an amazing teacher. She does an amazing job of pointing out what you and your partner need to improve on while still being supportive and making you aware of all of the progress you’ve made. We’ve learned the salsa and bachata and in 3 or 4 lessons, we’ve improved immensely. She’s kind and patient and is great for learners of all levels. We couldn’t recommend her more strongly.”

—Drexton S.

Common Questions

What should I wear to my first dance class with you?

You can wear comfortable clothes that let you move easily. For shoes, choose something with a smooth sole—sneakers or flats work well when starting out. If you already have dance shoes, those are great too.

Do I need a partner to join your dance classes?

No partner is needed to join our classes. We welcome singles, couples, and groups. If you come alone, you’ll be matched up with other students or one of us to help you learn and enjoy the class.

How long does it take to learn the basic steps in your dance classes?

Most people start picking up the basic steps after just one or two classes. Everyone learns at a different pace, but with regular practice, you’ll feel more comfortable and confident with each lesson.

What types of dance styles do you teach in your classes?

We teach a variety of ballroom and social dance styles, including Salsa, Rumba, Swing, Waltz, Cha Cha, Tango, and Bachata. Whether you’re looking for something classic or something lively, there’s a style for everyone to enjoy.

Can you help choreograph a dance for a special event like a wedding?

Yes, we can help choreograph a dance for special events like weddings, parties, or group performances. We’ll work with your ideas, skill level, and music choice to create a routine that feels personal and fun.
